Interested in driving primary strategies and tactics for Microsoft's developer audience? MSDN is looking for a program manager to own Microsoft internal and external relationships for some of our key content priorities by partnering with the MSDN Strategy team; defining the technical strategy; seeking out the best content sources in-house and among third parties; acquiring top-notch developer samples and content; scheduling and tracking technical content development; and working with editorial and test teams to coordinate release on an ongoing basis. Key functions include building cross-group contacts across the company, creating relationships with developers and potential contributors through conferences and long-term relationships, and writing specs for group tools and processes. Work with leading architects, developers, and program managers to develop and move forward on the key strategic messages that must be demonstrated and communicated to independent developers and decision makers, and the best ways to do so. This is your chance to blend autonomy and teamwork while driving MSDN toward a more focused approach to developer content. You must have outstanding oral and written communication skills, and proven, strong ability in a project management role. The ability to work in various media and with ongoing deadlines is a must. Background in acquiring technical content is desirable, as is editorial experience. Experience working with developers and developer-oriented content in particular is a huge plus. Passion for helping developer customers succeed is essential.
