Do you want to be a part of a cool new product at the forefront of Microsoft’s .NET initiative? The .NET Wallet Services team is building a platform to make .NET the preferred online marketplace for merchants, financial institutions, and consumers by integrating new online payment methods into a Hailstorm service. Our service will succeed by reducing the cost and risk of online transactions while improving the end-user experience. In short, we are empowering the consumer to take control of the online transaction. We are in the vanguard of Hailstorm scenarios and will be featured as one of the earliest Hailstorm scenarios to ship a live service offering. Experience working on platform technologies is a big plus. Familiarity with the challenges of marketing and branding issues is an even bigger plus. This position not only requires UI/UE visual design skills to create a consumer platform, but also requires strong PM generalist skills necessary to manage features from concept through release, while solving difficult problems across multiple internal groups. The successful candidate will have both the passion for the consumer perspective and the strong PM skills necessary to write great technical specifications so that the development and test teams can build the necessary features. In addition, the PM must have excellent communications skills, a pragmatic, get it done attitude and project management abilities that ensure products are delivered on time and to specification. This critical position will require interaction/relationships with many groups/technologies within Microsoft, and will require a wide breadth and demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies to business scenarios. In addition, the PM must demonstrate the ability to spec out core development work and drive creation of functional specifications and interface designs (technical and end-user) while driving implementation of features through development, testing, usability and documentation as applicable.
