PROGRAM MANAGER [Job Code: N05rc-dv ]

Be part of changing the world at MSN! Join the MSN worldwide programming research and metrics team as a program manager for data analysis and reporting. You will help grow the international business for 32 MSN subsidiaries worldwide by studying web traffic and usage patterns and recommending trends the subs can monetize on their sites. Responsibilities: You will own metrics data production, troubleshooting, analysis, and reporting to international MSN markets and regional teams. The position is a key collaborator to represent int’l customer requirements as liaison back into Redmond data partners (e.g., iDSS, MSN’s data mining tool; MediaMetrix and Nielsen, 3rd-party web data vendors). Your creativity, discipline, and communication skills will be important in developing processes to support MSN’s key business and site programming owners. Your primary objectives are to shape sometimes inconsistent web data from a variety of sources into reliable, consistent reports and to make actionable recommendations through them. The position also works with web statistics for data modeling, regression analysis, etc. In addition, as part of an int’l programming research team, you will help improve how metrics are understood and used to grow web businesses around the world. As part of that effort, you will own a group portal website, including structure and content to make it a compelling value-add for partners worldwide. This position demands scheduling flexibility as you work across multiple time zones and may require some international travel. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience as a project manager, or demonstrated project management experience. Experience with cross-team partnerships and driving them to strong results. Highly effective communication, negotiation, presentation, and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated commitment to teamwork required. Proven work experience with web metrics and/or analysis. Technical knowledge of HTML, XML/XSL, Perl, regular expressions, IIS, scripting and web technologies. SQL knowledge and experience with internet data center and data mining strongly preferred. BA/BS degree (or international equivalent) in a technical field, or equivalent work experience. 1-3 years experience working in a multinational environment. Foreign language skills a plus.
